Trauma is touched upon in my chapters of the Russian Genocide book

In 2023 and 2024, IWM's contemporary conflict team recorded more than 130 interviews with UK service personnel and family members as part of Voices of Service.

These oral histories are now part of IWM's collections and will also be studied by researchers at King’s Centre for Military Health Research at King’s College London. Their research will be used to help shape future support to all those who deployed.

My theory is this is hand-wringing utter nonsense

My theory on this has always been that the US Military's process to draw ammunition from its own supplies is so drawn out and bureaucratic that there's no way the plans to do this wouldn't leak in advance.

What a load of fucking nonsense - fascists will be stopped by fucking depot ammunition forms?

@philipwblood.bsky.social

@benskipper.bsky.social

remember all those coups that were stopped not by officers,civilian protest or foreign intervention BUT by soldiers not filing in the forms to get live ammunition?Certainly stopped Von Stauffenberg.This nonsense is propagating here- US ammo procedure
In America its practically impossible to get ammunition, the stuff is regulated more than nuclear weapons. I mean Colonel James E. Lee III of the Mississipi State Guard couldn't just drive up to a gun store and buy one million rounds of anti-woke ammo with his Musk credit card, could he?

There must be hundreds of brain-dead posts about this can’t happen in the US because we have ammunition procedures.

That’s even more pathetic than Harris’ ‘America is the world’s greatest idea’ - what about writing, mathematics AND FUCKING MEDICINE.

I disagree about often right

Biden's policies on Ukraine were often right, but always late.
(Fakti, November 30, 2024)

He bled Ukraine to the upcoming peace which I hope will not end with Zelensky’s assasination by Azov and civil war.

Mr Snell gave me some pointers on Biden’s policy - not providing enough weapons to win the war, but just enough to keep the war going. Putin not falling was a hundred times more important than Ukraine winning.

What's going on in Aleppo?
The stunning events in Aleppo, with the unexpected fall of the city to Syria’s rebels caught many of us by surprise, including it would appear Syria’s dictator Bashar Al-Asad as well as his allies in Iran and Russia. I spoke to Thomas van Linge who has been tracking this conflict to understand what the rebels have been up to and what gave them the opportunity to take t…
Who are Syria's rebels?
HTS, the rebel group in Syria that has retaken Aleppo and now appears to be advancing on Hama (moving ever closer to the capital, Damascus), is widely described as an ‘Al-Qaeda affiliate’. The group’s full name is Hai’at Tahrir Al-Sham, which literally means ‘the entity for the liberation of the Levant’ and its prehistory includes the Nusra Front (Jabha…

Oh no, it threatens free speech

On this edition of Parallax Views, in the first half of the program, Chip Gibbons, Policy Director of Defending Rights and Dissent, joins the program to discuss H.R. 9495 or the Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act and its passage in the Congress' U.S. House of Representatives. The bill has been criticized on the grounds that it will trample on free speech, specifically in regard to pro-Palestinian protests. According to Defending Rights and Dissent, "This bill allows the Secretary of the Treasury to unilaterally strip tax-exempt status from nonprofits deemed 'terrorist supporting' without meaningful due process." Find out more about the bill and why Defending Rights and Dissent argues the bill is neo-McCarthyite in this segment of the program and the press release below:

People have fetishized free speech.

Fun fact, WW2 was not fought for free speech. The first thing that happened when Western countries joined the war was stamping on Nazi free speech. Worked very well for Britain and America.

Find me ‘free speech’ in the Atlantic Charter.

I called Twitter a hate machine before the Musk purchase because it allowed Russians to incite genocide and war crimes, especially by Ulyanov and Medvedev.

"X" Has Become a Hate Machine
In his 1998 book Achieving Our Country, the philosopher Richard Rorty included a prophetic warning of what might happen if America elected a “strongman” type figure:

And here’s the proof I did it.

He is such a bad actor, director, producer and script writer. But I’ve heard he’s an okay guy. Unlike Steven ‘Aikido Rapist’ Seagal.
