Meanwhile, the Ukrainian offensive has been heading into deep Russian defenses. Let’s hope it doesn’t turn into a Kursk type stalemate, which would be a Russian victory. That’s not criticism or forecasting, just Kherson was much more expensive than people believe and that victory will be difficult to repeat. NATO should have intervened last year or this winter and not be letting Ukraine bleed and die to fail (hopefully not) at what a couple of American brigades and air supremacy could do in a week.

Book of the week
Finally finished it and its a meh book and I don’t believe the guy much. So he broke the Goto liver transplant story… okay kudos for that, but what exactly was the major story there? Bribery to jump an organ transplant list. Happens all the time. The interactions with police are full of over scripted exchanges he would never have remembered with such detail. His sex club interactions seem a lot more vaguely remembered and therefore trustworthy. All in all. Meh.

Duh.
You should know I hate fascists of all types.
And yes, there is an Ukrainian fascist problem. Much smaller than Russia’s, which is a neo-Nazi state at this point. But bigger than in most of Europe except say Hungary, Italy, France and the UK (Brexit the Mosley baby). And in Poland, of course, the Putin agentophiles are in power.
